Make your data speak volumes —— TalkingData Data Science Competition

TalkingData——the leading Big Data company in China is launching its “Global Data Science Competition”. With the technical support from Co-Host Turi(formerly GraphLab), the event will be held on Kaggle from Jul 12th to Sep 6th (CT). The precious real Chinese mobile users’data and its 25,000 USD prize pool provided by TalkingData will be the key spotlights for this data feast.

As the largest independent Big Data service platform that focuses on the mobile app marketplace in China. TalkingData has always sought for the equilibrium between data size and algorithms, accumulated experiences in practical business scenes, and marched toward the ultimately ideal form of Big Data. For instance, now China has at least 1 billion smart devices in use every day, every time they download or install an app, there will be a behavior record generated in the back end. But most of them won’t upload the information of their age, gender, etc. Therefore, how to determine these information based on their behaviors so as to support the follow-up service and sales becomes a real scene problem. More importantly, this time TalkingData is willing to share the real data of Chinese mobile users to the public and drive the industry growth. This is going to be a groundbreaking attempt due to the relatively isolated Internet environment in China. For the international contestants, this is also a unique chance to get to the precious data of Chinese mobile users. Furthermore, The questions coming from practical business scenes are going to interesting and creative, and of course, contestants with the best algorithms will walk away with 12,00USD(1st prize), 7,500USD(2nd prize) and 5,000USD(3rd prize).

The competition starts from Jul 11th to Sep 5th, is held on Kaggle, the largest predictive modelling and analytics competitions platform. Also, Turi, the former GraphLab will provide the technical and promotion support worldwide. The contestants will compete with over 500,000 other machine learning fans and experts all over the world, form teams online, and submit online. The final result judged by Kaggle scores and professional jury will be announced by TalkingData and T11 Global Big Data Summit on Sep 13th.
